1. Introduction
Miraras (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") respects the privacy of our users and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in the Service. Information about the operator of the Service is given in the final section, "Operator Information and Contact".
2. Information We Collect
The Service may collect the following information:
- Response data entered for diagnoses and readings (date of birth, time of birth, gender, the concern you describe, etc.)
- Palm images uploaded for palm reading
- Messages entered in the consultation and chat features
- The identifier, display name and profile image obtained when you log in with a LINE account
- Access logs (IP address, browser information, access date/time, etc.)
- Cookie information
- The email address and message you enter when contacting us
- Payment-related information (card numbers and the like are collected directly by Stripe, Inc. and are never held by the Service)
3. Purpose of Information Use
Collected information is used for the following purposes:
- Providing reading, diagnosis and consultation services
- Improving service quality
- Analyzing usage patterns
- Responding to inquiries
- Delivering important notifications
- Processing payments for paid services and managing purchase history
- Preventing fraud and spam, and responding to legal obligations
4. Information Storage
Diagnosis and reading results, and consultation history, produced while you are logged in are stored on our servers (Cloudflare D1) so that you can view them again at any time. If you request deletion of your account, we delete this data except where retention is required by law. The content of your inquiries and your contact details are used only to respond to the inquiry and to improve the service, and are deleted one year after the inquiry is resolved. We may also retain data processed into a form that cannot identify an individual for statistical analysis.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties and Subcontracting
The Service will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- When the user has given consent
- When required by law
- When necessary to protect life, body, or property
- When handling is entrusted to the external providers listed below, to the extent necessary to provide the Service
The external providers used by the Service are as follows:
- Google LLC (United States) / Generation of readings and consultation responses by generative AI (Gemini). The content you enter and your diagnosis results are transmitted.
- Stripe, Inc. (United States) / Credit card payment processing.
- LY Corporation (Japan) / Login authentication with a LINE account.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) / Application runtime and database hosting.
6. Provision to Third Parties in Foreign Countries
Of the external providers above, Google LLC, Stripe, Inc. and Cloudflare, Inc. are located in the United States. For information on the personal data protection regime in the United States, please refer to the information on foreign systems published by the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan (https://www.ppc.go.jp/personalinfo/legal/kaiseihogohou/). These providers take the measures necessary to protect personal data under their own privacy policies and contractual arrangements. By using the Service, you are treated as having consented to the provision of personal data to these third parties located in foreign countries.
7. About Cookies
The Service uses cookies to improve user experience and analyze access. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work properly.
8. Analytics Tools
The Service may use analytics tools to improve our services. These tools collect anonymous statistical data using cookies but do not collect personally identifiable information.
9. Security
The Service implements appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. Communications are encrypted using SSL/TLS.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. If children under 13 use the Service, please do so with parental consent.
11. Requests for Disclosure, Correction and Suspension of Use
You, or your authorised representative, may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension or erasure of use, and suspension of provision to third parties, in respect of the personal data we hold. Please contact us through the contact form or at info@miraras.com. Once we have confirmed your identity, we will respond without delay to the extent provided by law. No fee is charged.
12. Changes to Privacy Policy
The Service may change this Privacy Policy as necessary. Important changes will be announced on the Service.
